Lisbon 2013: Another successful eTwinning conference!

The eTwinning Conference 2013, which took place in Lisbon between the 14th and the 16th of March 2013, was deemed a great success.

More than 500 teachers from 33 countries attended the Conference, which provided an opportunity to reward the best eTwinning projects and to share good practice through presentations and workshops.

On the first day, conference participants were welcomed by a number of representatives from European and national level.

On the second day, participants broke up into smaller groups, in various workshops.  The day ended with a gala dinner in the Palace of Xabregas.

On the third day, the participants listened to and interacted with a panel discussion about eTwinning. Afterwards, a small group of randomly selected eTwinning teachers talked about their experiences.

For all results of the conference – including photos, videos, links to the recorded sessions and commentary from participants – have a look at the conference website.

eTwinning spring campaign launched - We are (eT)winning!

Despite a chilly start across most of Europe, spring is definitely in the air and the 2013 eTwinning spring campaign is now officially running. Taking part in the campaign is simple.
Organise an eTwinning event
This year we are encouraging eTwinners to organise information and promotional events to inspire colleagues and encourage them to join eTwinning.
Design eTwinning posters and win an HD pocket camcorder!
Create a poster to promote your event and upload it in the campaign page.
All posters uploaded can be voted by all eTwinners until 16 MAY, and the three most ‘liked’ will win one HD pocket camcorder!
In case you cannot host an event you can still enter the competition.
How to get involved
Check out our campaign page linked from the Desktop Homepage. There is also a public page which can be accessed by non eTwinners and will display artwork and events as they are added.
Time to eT(win)!

Creating around Music

Making work that unites all types of school (pre-primary, primary and low secondary school) is the aim of the project. As our Low Secondary School is a school music-oriented and our students are individually guided to learn to play 4 musical instruments, music will be the pivot of its various activities. In its development some small melodies, inclusive of chord for the accompaniment, will be produced by the pupils. On these “shared notes” each partner will create rhymes, poems, games, sequences of words and numbers. The music, produced in digital format (midi or audio), may be also used as a background for animations of stories and tales.

Chemistry in the kitchen

Children learn about the amazing world of science by doing very simple experiments. The students and teachers do many amazing exercises with materials we can find in the kitchen like water, flour, cabbage, oil. Our project is based on the programme “Program koła Adventure with chemistry”. Students record their results and present them using various types of programmes.
