January 2017

Happy new year, happy eTwinning!

Happy new year to all our friends and eTwinners, and we hope that you had a pleasant winter break!

We begin 2017 with the publication of ‘Growing Digital Citizens’ in 26 languages, highlighting the impact of eTwinning projects on developing active citizenship, as well as releasing the ‘Monitoring eTwinning Practice’ report, which reflects on the pedagogical impact that eTwinning projects have on teachers. Besides these publications, we will try to make 2017 another successful year full of activities and opportunities - keep an eye on eTwinning.net for updates!

Wishing you every success for the coming year,

The eTwinning team

A year on Inclusion – our theme for 2017

As with tradition at the start of a new year, we are delighted to announce a new eTwinning theme of inclusion to guide activities around in 2017.

When talking about inclusion, the conversation often gravitates towards themes dealing with the prevention of radicalisation or special needs education. Throughout 2017, the eTwinning world will deal with these topics, but we will also look at inclusion in a broader sense: how education can be mobilised effectively to promote the fundamental values of inclusion itself. Our goal is to promote social inclusion and attitudes of non-discrimination towards cultures, gender, race, religion, disabilities, sexual orientation, age or any other categorization as such.

We are very much looking forward to a new year of exciting work involving our partners, teachers and pupils in innovative and rewarding projects.
